Job Description

Working in a busy manufacturing and production business where you will be responsible for the smooth-running of the production department, working alongside the wood machining team. We’re looking for team players who help the smooth running of our clients manufacturing and production site.

• Experience of using, setting up and operating BEAM/BAND SAWS, EDGEBAND or CNC machines.
• Read and understand technical drawings
• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
• Inspecting finished products for accuracy and quality

Experience in wood working is essential

Experience using hand tools to assemble and disassemble parts

Working over 50 hours a week as standard - DO NOT APPLY IF YOU CANNOT WORK THESE HOURS!

Days - Monday to Thursday 06.00 – 17.00. Friday 06.00 – 15.00 - £12.50 - £14.00 per hour dependant on experience

Overtime is paid at x 1 1/3, x 1.5 and x 2 standard rate

If successful you will be employed under a temp to perm contract. You will serve a 12 week probation whilst employed by Blink Recruitment. During this probation you will be monitored on timekeeping and attendance along with work ethic and ability to work well as part of a team. Once you have successfully completed the 12 weeks you will be transferred over a as a permanent employee.

The roles will also involve additional duties around site associated to the manufacturing and production processes.

Blink Recruitment operate a full in house PAYE payroll. We do not use the services of Umbrella payroll schemes. All workers accrue holiday pay per hour worked. Paid Weekly with a week in arrears.
