Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly, wiring, integration, and testing of electromechanical products, including box build assemblies, cable assemblies, and wiring harnesses, ensuring all products meet customer specifications, quality requirements, and delivery schedules. Working from engineering drawings, assembly instructions, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials, the Electromechanical Assembler will build complete assemblies ranging from sub-assemblies through to finished products for customers operating in demanding and high-reliability industries.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electro-mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment.
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions accurately.
  • Conduct basic testing and troubleshooting of assembled units to ensure functionality.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety standards at all times.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve assembly issues and improve processes.
  • Document assembly procedures and report any discrepancies or defects promptly.

Requirements

  • Perform mechanical and electromechanical assembly of box build products and equipment enclosures.
  • Assemble, route, terminate, and secure cables, harnesses, connectors, switches, relays, and other electrical components.
  • Install components such as PCBs, power supplies, displays, fans, brackets, and control panels into finished assemblies.
  • Carry out soldering, crimping, cable preparation, and connector assembly to approved standards.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, assembly instructions, and bills of materials.
  • Conduct visual inspections and basic functional testing of completed assemblies.

Previous experience in electromechanical assembly, box build assembly, panel wiring, or cable assembly needed.

37.5 hours per week

Monday – Thursday 7.00 – 15.50

Friday 7.00 – 11.10

Salary : £13.35 per hour - possibly higher with experience.

Blink Recruitment operate a full in house PAYE payroll. We do not use the services of Umbrella payroll schemes. All workers accrue holiday pay per hour worked. Paid Weekly with a week in arrears.
