Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC flatbed laser cutting machines.
• Load and unload sheet metal safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and production documentation.
• Select the correct programs and materials for each production run.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments where required to maintain quality.
• Carry out first-off and in-process quality inspections using measuring equipment.
• Report any machine faults, defects or maintenance requirements.
• Ensure production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment in line with Health & Safety procedures.

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Previous experience operating CNC flatbed laser cutting machinery (essential).
• Experience with Trumpf, Bystronic, Amada or similar laser systems would be highly advantageous.
• The ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers or gauges.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• A positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A flexible approach to working rotating shifts.
