CNC Setter Operator – Full time/Permanent – ST1

Day to Day Activities

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team, hourly rate to be decided by experience and competency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC machinery and a keen eye for detail. This role involves producing precision components by interpreting technical drawings and specifications, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Read CNC Programs and have the ability to set and operate CNC milling / lathe machines to produce parts according to specifications. - Roughly working on 20 - 30 off's batch work for different contracts.
• MUST have the ability to work independently,
• Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to set up machinery accurately.
• Perform regular maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Use basic maths skills to calculate dimensions and tolerances required for machining processes.
• Assemble components as per engineering drawings, ensuring proper fit and function.
• Utilise hand tools and power tools for finishing processes such as grinding.
• Collaborate with team members to improve production efficiency and quality control.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Skills

• Proficient in operating CNC machines.
• Competence in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during machining processes.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work consistently.

Shifts and pay

• Monday - Friday 07:30am - 4:30pm (Friday finish at 12:30pm)
• £12.50 + (depending on experience).
• Temp to perm – 12-week probation.
