Job Description
Job Summary:
- Working closely with the Engineering manager, technical engineers, and welding and fabrication staff; to help provide new jig solutions for new products introduced into production and improve jig designs and manufacturing efficiencies.
- The right candidate will also be heavily involved in press braking tasks so competency in this is essential.
The Candidate:
- As a successful candidate you will have proven experience of jig and fixture fabrication, tool fabrication, or be able to demonstrate steel fabrication skills of the highest level.
- Possessing a broad understanding of steel fabrication and welding processes, and ideally prior knowledge of robotic welding, you will be a pro-active candidate who can display an aptitude for problem solving as well as having an excellent eye for detail.
To be successful in this role, you will require the following skills:
- Experience in jig, fixture fabrication or creation of high-quality steel fabrications.
- Proven understanding of mild steel welding processes.
- Innovative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read highly detailed engineering drawings
- The ability to communicate confidently at all levels.
And ideally possess:
- Understanding of robotic welding and jigs to suit this process.
- Press brake experience essential
Hours & Pay:
- Monday to Thursday = 7am - 4pm & Friday = 7am - 12:00pm
- Pay Rate = £17.00 - £18.50ph (depending on experience)
- Overtime is paid at a premium rate
If successful you will be employed under a temp to perm contract. You will serve a 12 week probation whilst employed by Blink Recruitment. During this probation you will be monitored on timekeeping and attendance along with work ethic and ability to work well as part of a team. Once you have successfully completed the 12 weeks you will be transferred over a as a permanent employee.

Blink Recruitment operate a full in house PAYE payroll. We do not use the services of Umbrella payroll schemes. All workers accrue holiday pay per hour worked. Paid Weekly with a week in arrears.

- There will be 2 x trade tests required at interview stage. - One will be a weld test and the second will be a test on the Press Brake machine. - Please do not apply if you are not willing to conduct a weld test upon interview stage.
