Job Summary - Filling Operative

Location - Hanley

Permanent Placement

Shifts - Rotating 2 week shift pattern (AM Monday to Thursday 06.00-14.00 Friday 06.00 - 13.00. PM Monday to Thursday 14.00 - 22.00 Friday 14.00-20.00

Salary - AM Shift £14.30. PM shift £14.90 (this is inclusive of a shift allowance) (Salary average of £29,600pa)

Responsibilities

• Operating automated and semi-automated machinery
• Setting up and filling machines and carrying out product changeovers
• Operating filling equipment and container washing machinery.
• Manufacture of lubricants using process control systems (Siemens and SAP)
• Operating counterbalance FLT trucks
• Taking Samples for the QC department to test.
• Completing daily housekeeping checks
• Adhering with H&S and quality standards.

Requirements

• Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to assembly tasks.
• Proven experience in a production, machine operation or manufacturing environment is preferred. References WILL be required and you will need to be able to show longevity in previous roles.
• Flexible working attitude, to work a 2-shift system and work overtime if required.
• Experience of driving a Counterbalance will be very advantageous. In-house or expired licences are accepted.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control in all tasks performed.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing production needs.
