Job Description

Responsibilities

• Operate Beamsaws, bandsaws and other cutting equipment to produce high-quality materials according to specifications.
• Handle materials safely and efficiently, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the workspace.
• Use basic maths skills to measure and calculate dimensions for cutting materials accurately.
• Must eb able to read from drawings for measurements
• Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and improve workflow efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in operating beamsaws.
• Experience in materials handling, including the safe lifting and movement of heavy items.
• Proficient in tooling practices, including the use of hand tools for assembly tasks.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Basic maths skills for precise measurements and calculations related to cutting processes.

Hours of work

• Monday to Thursday = 06:00-17:00. & Friday = 06:00-15:00
• Working hours = 55 hours. - Actual paid working hours = 49 hours
• 2 x 30 minute breaks unpaid (morning and afternoon) & 1 x 15 min paid break in the afternoon.
• Temporary to permanent - duration 12 weeks

If successful you will be employed under a temp to perm contract. You will serve a 12 week probation whilst employed by Blink Recruitment. During this probation you will be monitored on timekeeping and attendance along with work ethic and ability to work well as part of a team.

Once you have successfully completed the 12 weeks you will be transferred over a as a permanent employee. If you wish to be considered for this role:
